Evening Star Holdings, LLC (ESH) was formed in late 2001 creating a privately owned boutique resort, limited service hotel and travel services company.  After eight active years, a decision was made to exit the hotel ownership and management sector.  This decision was fully executed and completed at the end of April 2009.

ESH remains active in the travel services business through its association with the travel industry leader, Rovia.

The current global economic distress has set the stage for company founder, Richard Goeglein, to continue to offer his unique and diverse expertise to a select group of Boards of Directors, company founders and their management.

Richard is a highly regarded and experienced hospitality industry executive, with extensive experience in operations, development, and turn-around management within the hotel, restaurant and gaming sectors. He also spent many years in the consumer services and products arena—at one point leading a $1.6 Billion International Group which was a component of a large NYSE, multi-national company. Richard currently serves as Lead Director of the Board for Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. (PNK - NYSE), and is a member of its Executive and Compensation Committees. Richard is also a Strategic Partner of Return on Efficiency, LLC (ROE), an entity focused on a holistic, risk-sharing approach to business transformation and turnarounds.

Richard’s personal focus is to work at the Board level of corporations as an active director, or as an individual, expert resource for executive management, ownership and/or boards of directors to retain in support of their efforts to work through difficult organizational/financial situations and create strategic solutions to problems and opportunities created by current economic stresses.

Through his Strategic Partnership with ROE and other established strategic relationships (see Resources Tab), Richard is able to bring unique resources to assist at strategic and operational levels in opportunity assessment, problem identification and resolution with a particular focus on efficiency initiatives, cost cutting, divestitures and M &A execution.
